Vanilla Syrup for Beverages

With only a few ingredients, you can easily make delicious homemade vanilla syrup to flavor your coffee, tea, and even cocktails!

Ingredients

  • 1 A1 Vanilla organic vanilla beans
  • 300ml water
  • 200g sugar
  • 60g packed light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Slice vanilla beans lengthwise and scrape the caviar out.

  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk together all ingredients (including vanilla pods).  Bring to boil then reduce heat.
  3. Simmer for about 5 minutes until sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Once syrup has cooled, pour syrup into a glass jar or bottle with lid.
  5. Store in fridge.

Tips

  • Homemade vanilla syrup will keep in the fridge for about 1 week.
  • You can add in empty vanilla pods left over from other recipes to intensify the flavor.
